ABOUT STARSEED ACUPUNCTURE + WELLNESS
Human bodies are bioelectrical and bioenergetic by design. Much emphasis has been placed on the biological aspects of the human body in western medical science; while the energetic body has been largely ignored due to a lack of understanding of the mechanisms of action required to adequately perform "controlled" studies. Modern science, specifically in the field of quantum physics and quantum biology, is broadening our understanding of the "other" part of human form. Humans are not living on the Earth, but rather living with the Earth; thus, being subject to all the same rules by which nature commands. The industrialization of the planet has led to a disharmony and disregulation of this intimately entwined system that leads to diseases of body, mind and spirit. It is this imbalance that acupuncture works to restore.

Starseed Acupuncture + Wellness starts with the art and science of East Asian Medicine, rolls in the ageless wisdom of sacred geometry and form, calls in the intuition of the ancient alchemists and healers, and adds a heavy dose of modern science to bring forth a unique system of wellness specifically designed for the challenges of modern humans. This unique approach opens doorways to allow clients to step into their own power of healing and transformation.

ABOUT DREA

Drea is a South Korean born acupuncturist practicing in Rapid City, South Dakota. She received her Masters degree in East Asian Medicine from the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX in 2011, completed training and certification as an Asian bodywork therapist in 2010, is nationally board certified in acupuncture and East Asian Medicine by the NCCAOM, and is a licensed acupuncturist. 



Her unique approach to acupuncture and wellness blends traditional acupuncture and East Asian Medicine with sacred geometry, ageless wisdom teachings, and modern science. Her areas of focus include mental health and trauma, spiritual health, chronic and acute pain, and whole body wellness. She helps facilitate the body’s innate healing response to guide clients toward a life of optimal wellness. 

Drea started studying tattooing under Texas tattooers "Dr. Bob" Moreau, Damian Manchester, and Troy Curry in 2011. At the end of her apprenticeship, she ultimately chose to continue pursuing acupuncture full-time while supporting a family. She has continued to develop her own style of tattooing, blending her knowledge of the human body with esoteric concepts, astrological archetypes, and sacred symbology into a unique tattoo experience for clients. She believes that tattooing is a sacred exchange of energy that has the power to transform and heal.
As a mom of two children, she is passionate about nurturing healthy humans by caring for our planet, healing our traumas, and allowing ourselves to be present in the flow of life. She believes everything matters, and that mindfulness and compassion will change the world.
